Restaurant bewertenExcellent service phenomenal food cozy with outside seating available (love that! Tapas were excellent can't say enough great things about the charcuterie platter but the octopus leg is to die for so delish!
My experience at this restaurant during afternoon tea time for small bites was disappointing. The service was misleading, with added charges beyond the menu. The cured meat display looked tempting, so we decided to dine inside. The receptionist offered us olives while we looked at the menu, but later charged us for them without clarifying they were not complimentary. The grilled octopus was tasty but took a while to arrive, despite us mentioning we were in a hurry. The chicken liver dish was decent, but the accompanying bread was hard as rocks. We had to ask for regular bread and inform the waitress about the issue. In the end, we were charged extra for the bread and had a 12.5% gratuity added automatically, despite our dissatisfaction with the service. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience.
I found Casa Brindisa to be a little hit and miss, both in the food they serve and the service staff. The Tortilla was filled to the brim but a little lack-lustre in taste, the cured Catalan sausage was seasoned well (like salami but with a more gentle taste), the croquetas were delightfully crunchy on the exterior with a warm and tasty interior, the grilled octopus may be an acquired taste, the lamb cutlets were good and well matched with the bed of vegetable and chickpeas, whilst I found the duck to be a bit tougher and **** than I would like. One male member of staff was attentive and courteous whilst another female member of staff took a wrong dessert order and dropped items. Overall, the restaurant is conveniently placed, often packed with tourists, and a little hectic whilst the food served is somewhat curious but interesting to try out.
I had tapas at casa two nights while visiting S.K the food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend
Walking around to find something for dinner and walked in here on the 'hey lots of people must know something.... Excellent tapas. Gordal Olives with orange and oregano a savoury must have. Also Chilli garlic prawns were great. Wait staff Jorge was my server beyond helpful. Will return on my next trip to London!
