Browns - London Old Jewry

We had lunch at Browns, table was big and spacious and atmosphere in the venue very Christmassy. We had people coming in at different times and I appreciate if this was a little confusing to servers. For starters we had baked camembert which was outstanding! and other nibbles. Mains two people on the table ordered linguine which was blant and none of the servers asked if something is wrong when my colleague just had a spoon or two and was done with the meal. We had one guest who was vegetarian, she did not like anything on the menu, waitress agreed to request chefs to make mushroom risotto. She was glad, but when her meal came it was beetroot risotto, she had to double check with server again, why is it beetroot not mushroom risotto. Server took back beetroot risotto and brought mushroom risotto which also did not have much taste . Since we had to headback to work it was a shame that some of us had to leave still hungry. I had a pot pie which was warming and filling and enjoyed it. Wish we could all have a great time.

I visited on a Friday at 10am to meet a friend from Sweden for a breakfast having walked past 100x on my way to work. Kef provided excellent service and was welcoming and efficient. Lovely food , lovely decor, lovely ambience. I’ll definitely return soon . Thank you Kef !
