Restaurant bewertenBacco Trattoria is surprisingly deceptive. Given the exceptional quality of the food that emerges from such a humble kitchen, this place deserves to have elegant curtains, wood-fired ovens, and a patio adorned with Cinzano umbrellas — yet it lacks all that. Instead, it’s an unassuming establishment with decor that belies the truly fantastic and reasonably priced cuisine. While I don’t want to diminish the quality of nearby restaurants like Olive Plantations or Maserghini Grills, Bacco offers real tablecloths instead of crayons, deliciously overflowing panini sandwiches instead of greasy breadsticks, and attentive service without the typical “...my name is written backwards on the meatwrap paper tablecloth, and I’ll be your server” vibe you'd expect from such a simple location. I find myself torn between wanting them to stay as they are or hoping they get a well-deserved upgrade that matches their high standards. Maybe I should just keep quiet, visit more often, and relish this hidden gem...yes, just ignore me and forget I said anything... But I have one small complaint: shouldn’t it be “Trattoria Bacco,” like they do back in Italy?
