Restaurant bewertenThis place is closed! Reopening under another name sometime in April.
Great experience but they need somewhere to hang closes and a dresser or table instead of fold out luggage stand. The bathroom door was neat but annoying after a while, especially during the night. The bidet was a real SURPRISE ?.
This is a must stop. Atmosphere is cozy , relaxed, and comforting. The staff?…. Perfect. We sat at the bar and Nick was far and away the best bartender/host. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We had the filet and the ribeye which were both cooked to perfection. Lovely sear and not over seasoned.Wine and bourbon selection was awesome. We were even given a tour of their bourbon tasting bar which was not open that day. Incredible! It was like a speak easy with the a incredible selection of whiskeys and wine.Definitely will revisit the next time we come to the area. We came to visit Lewisburg and we’re coming back for White Sulfur Springs and the 50 East Restaurant Tavern!I’d have posted some pics but we were too busy enjoying everything about this place!
Second time here because it was sooo good the first time!
Once again the wife and I are out exploring looking for something different for dinner besides the same old food chains. She picked this place after looking at the menu online.Well when we get there and get seated by a weird 56 yr old man with a hippie top knot hair do your almost 60 and operating a restaurant get a hair cut.We get seated and they hand us a menu. Nothing that was online was on the menu. You had a choice of lobster ravioli or a hamburger with chips from a bag )So we both ordered a burger, hers with chips mine with onion rings. Hers the way it comes mine with just meat and cheese no garden, no condiments.I requested no pickle.First thing they come back and inform us that they don’t have the pepper jack cheese so we had to switch to cheddar. Then I watch as the guys making the food 3 of the 4 have long beards and no beard nets back there making orders. Then I watch as the top knot dude removes the pickle from my plate and starts to mop up the nasty juice that’s already soaking into the bun and all over my onion rings. They never even put the bacon on my wife’s burger.Hers looked good but was dry and chewy.I had to throw the bun away and eat my burger with a fork from an appetizer plate from the nasty pickle slime.Do you all realize pickles and condiments should never be included unless requested. And even then condiments should be supplied not applied because everyone likes different amounts and proportions. Myself I can not stand anything with vinegar that includes ketchup and PICKLES.So after the $65 bill for less food than we could have gotten at Wendy’s a block or 2 down the road for $25 we went on our way.It is like going to a McDonald’s drive thru on the backside of a mansion. It all looks upscale and fancy up front but the outcome always leaves you feeling like there has to be something better out there.Go in with high hopes and come out with disappointment and belly growling. Good luck Parking: Street parking only that we found and there is road construction going on taking up part of that.
