Cafe Portofino - Lihue

Delicious restaurant! I do not exaggerate when I say that the lasagne is the best I have ever had. all garnel options are also top-tier. service is very good and highly recommended!

We want to try this place before we leave the island and be honest, we were glad to do it. we try the special of the day, pasta with garnel, fish marlins, and muddle, in red sauce, that was more than delicious, another level, my man ordered carbonara and was super tasty, for dessert tiramisu and caramel crusty, the last was my favorite! that is unpaid. customer service was excellent if they have time, do not hesitate to visit this place, also they have pizza that looks and smells so good, but we have not tried to choose dessert instead of try pizza.

Had Fish of the day in caper cream sauce substituted veggies for what tasted like fresh made linguine. 3 other ppl at table had the Steak Shrimp Special with veggies. 5 stars all around. Had bad experience with Dukes extremely slim menu at overly high prices bad service so walked to Portofino got instant service with a smile. Food was AMAZING half the price of Duke's. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant right on the water with views of Kalapaki beach. Food is excellent and service is good too. I ordered the ribeye steak this time. Wine corkage is reasonable. They have a harp player most nights! Walking distance from the Sonesta Resort (beach walk or internal walkway). Good selection of meat and fish dishes, and standard Italian dishes pastas.

My server was extremely nice. Food was excellent. It's a bit in the top range for price but it's a good place for a date night or a general night out. You can hear the waves from the beach in pretty much every part of the restaurant.
