Best chicken and chips in Leeds Never had a bad meal.

Nice local chippy on Beeston Hill. Big portions at good prices even after the recent rise. Gets very busy at lunch I believe it's owned by the same people that run Ali's next door, so they close at 5pm and Ali's takes over from there. It's a pity they don't stay open until 6 or 7 for tea but it's probably a licensing issue. Also bear in mind it's Muslim owned so no battered sausages etc. However they do offer chicken which most chip shops generally don't. The staff are always friendly and the food is nice and good value.

This was my first experience with this fish restaurant, and even though I live just across the street, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, and the fish was delicious. I really appreciated the small touches, like having a napkin and fork provided.

Delicious! What more can I say? I also appreciate that they use vegetable oil for cooking.

The fish wasn't good, as it wasn't properly prepared cod or squid. However, the hunch is fantastic, though it is quite pricey.
