Restaurant bewertenVisited here on a Saturday night in December after being advised by a local friend. It was around 8pm (maybe a little early for Italians) and we were the only customers. Despite being the only customers, and there being a plethora of waiting staff milling around and chatting, service was quite slow although friendly enough. They have a choice of craft and imported beers, if you 're interested in that. Peanuts are served while you 're waiting, with shells to be thrown on the floor. I 've seen this before elsewhere in Italy, but I felt it didn 't suit this place as it is a restaurant and not a pub. We both ordered the house special 'galletto ' (if my memory is correct). It was tasty but nothing special and rather small for the price. The place filled up by 9.30 but it was all families with young children and teenagers. There wasn 't much atmosphere, and the medieval decor...whilst being unique, seems a little odd. Overall, the food was fine but maybe pricey for what it was. It didn 't seem like a place for a group of friends to have a night out. It was very much a family place, so wasn 't what we were looking for. There are better places in Lecce in my opinion.
Very nice food. Had burgers and fries. Pleasant waitress. Had the unfortunate experience of sitting near a timed air freshener that slightly spoiled the wholesome food experience but it was ok. Maybe would not return again..
This place is a must stop if you are visiting Lecce. The workers and service is devine, they were so king about not knowing much english and gave us mini slices of pizza for free which was a great way to start the meal. Everything I have seen eaten here by friends has looked amazing and well prepared. It is also decently priced. I had the pork taco which was ground sausage, spices, onion and lettuce and was one of the best meals i have had so far in Lecce. They also have an interesting beer selection which I loved. Would highly recommend eating here!
I've visited Kingallo Restaurant in the last days in a little holyday with my family in Lecce. We've seen the restaurant entry with my son in a short ride with a quadricicle that we've rented in the main place of Lecce (S. Oronzo Place). Full of curiosity, the next day, we three, me, my son and my wife have gone in this very particular rest/pub and the first impression has been positive, very positive. The staff has been at once at our complete disposition and our order has been send in the kitchen at the light speed. We've eaten two marvellous mixed grills and a Res King, a sort of supermegasandwich with a lot of excellent meat and bacon. We've drunk two red beer and a little bottle of water and we got out full and satisfacted. Quality and price very good. An experience to repeat.
What a great Pub in the old city of Lecce, wonderfully laid out with a great selection of beers. Snacks available and are very good along with a huge amount of peanuts. Staff are very friendly and at tentative worth a visit,
