Restaurant bewertenA good home meal with personal attention in a beautiful Provençal village, we went in winter so not many tourists, the owner made us feel at home.
We too were on our way to the Abbaye du Thoronet and wanted lunch first. We would have been quite happy with omelette and chips - the usual veggie fallback - but there on the slate outside the restaurant were the magic words "assiette végétarienne". It was a well-balanced mixture of salad and raw vegetables with a few cooked veg and a mound of rice. The owner suggested adding a slice of camembert which made the meal perfect. We rounded off with a moelleux aux chocolat and home-made pineapple cake, both excellent.
We found this amazing place on our way to the Abbaye Du Thoronet. Each of us ordered a typical dish and we found them all delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and joyful. Excellent price/quality rate
Lovely atmosphere, food and service on a beautiful summer's evening. We had a superb, local main course followed by a lemon tart which was out of this world. Fantastic hosts.
The food in our hotel in Le Thoronet was overpriced and tasteless so we set out to walk around and see what else was available. Mon Paradis Provencal is a small shop unit on the main street with four or five small tables on the road itself. Thankfully it is quiet in the evening. We walked past a few times before taking a risk. What a good decision. The couple who run the restaurant are very hospitable and fun. The food was good, honest, home made and tasty. Part of the experience is choosing the food from what is cooking in the kitchen. We had a great evening. Give it a try.
