Restaurant bewertenThis was my family's first meal in Laval and we were not disappointed. Our server took great care of us and explained each of the dishes. One of my go-to dishes at any Greek restaurant is the moussaka. Their rendition of it was great in my opinion. My parents ordered a souvlaki and a gyro pita. Their dish came with salad, fries, AND rice. We couldn't finish it all but it's a great deal for the price. My only con is that the pitas had waaaay too much tzatziki sauce. It overpowered even the taste of the meat. The best part of the restaurant is the authentic family feel. We even met Christina who the restaurant was named after. Highly recommend!
Went on 8/12/17 food was not what I expected and service was very poor I had the basic dishes started with a calamari dish it was chewy and it had an oily taste, Greek salad was very vinegary and only had red onions in it 2 or 3 pieces of cucumber and a few pieces of tomato with a crumble of feta not great very disappointed then had 2 pita pork soulaki plate once again salad was bad French fries very over done rice was very good pork tasted funny. Basically ...... 2 stars
We were scheduled to go to Laval to pick up an item at a hardware store around lunch time. Before leaving, I took a quick peek at the TripAdvisor reviews for restaurants in the area. Well, it was our lucky day! Whether you like authentic Greek food or you just enjoy amazing food in general, you should get yourself over there as soon as you can. You will be spoiled by Mama Christina's outstanding fare and Dora's friendly banter. Although we live in the West Island, we intend to make this a regular stop on our culinary tour.
Just like my Yiayia used to make! Great variety of homemade authentic Greek dishes. Super nice people and prompt service. The pikelia was great, a little of everything including delicious homemade sausages.(I'm ordering the sausage next time for sure) The moussaka was very tasty (but like yiayia's the vegetables were cooked until they melted into the casserole). Some of my party had the chicken gyro pita and they all agreed that it was the best they ever had. The horta were good as was the vegetarian cabbage rolls. I would highly recommend!
On a family trip and decided to try this place after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We recently moved back to Canada from Greece so you can imagine how critical we are when it comes to authentic Greek food. This place was absolutely amazing! We had the gyro, moussaka, souvlaki, Greek salad and kopanisti. I can honestly say, even better than Greece! Excellent service, great prices, huge portions, cozy atmosphere and very clean. The place was packed when we went so we left and came back later to find a table. We're only here for the weekend but after last night's dinner, definitely going back tonight! A must if you're in the Montreal area. Can't say enough about this gem of a restaurant! Won't be surprised if by our next visit they have relocated to a bigger location.
