Restaurant bewertenThis was my family's first meal in Laval and we were not disappointed. Our server took great care of us and explained each of the dishes. One of my go-to dishes at any Greek restaurant is the moussaka. Their rendition of it was great in my opinion. My parents ordered a souvlaki and a gyro pita. Their dish came with salad, fries, AND rice. We couldn't finish it all but it's a great deal for the price. My only con is that the pitas had waaaay too much tzatziki sauce. It overpowered even the taste of the meat. The best part of the restaurant is the authentic family feel. We even met Christina who the restaurant was named after. Highly recommend!
We were scheduled to go to Laval to pick up an item at a hardware store around lunch time. Before leaving, I took a quick peek at the TripAdvisor reviews for restaurants in the area. Well, it was our lucky day! Whether you like authentic Greek food or you just enjoy amazing food in general, you should get yourself over there as soon as you can. You will be spoiled by Mama Christina's outstanding fare and Dora's friendly banter. Although we live in the West Island, we intend to make this a regular stop on our culinary tour.
We did not have high hopes with this restaurant. Even so, we left disappointed. We received our food about 45 minutes after ordering. This was slightly understandable due to the fact it was crowded on a Monday if not for the following: we received our wine 15 minutes after we ordered, kids' ginger ale took 30. For the finale, they only accept cash and we had no idea. There was no sign to indicate this. So there went all our cash for the day. On the upside, the food was pretty good. So if you have a lot of time and you're not too thirsty, this might be the place for you.
I was there with some family members for a casual dinner meeting. The place is small but the food and service is very good. The have good souvlaki but also traditional Greek dishes which change daily like lamb, pork, fasolakia, biftekia, gemista Moussaka, pastitsio, sykotakia etc.We tried the souvlaki, loukaniko and moussaka. All very good and reasonably priced. Also had our Mythos beer :)All in all, highly recommended but the place is small so fills up fast.
Just like my Yiayia used to make! Great variety of homemade authentic Greek dishes. Super nice people and prompt service. The pikelia was great, a little of everything including delicious homemade sausages.(I'm ordering the sausage next time for sure) The moussaka was very tasty (but like yiayia's the vegetables were cooked until they melted into the casserole). Some of my party had the chicken gyro pita and they all agreed that it was the best they ever had. The horta were good as was the vegetarian cabbage rolls. I would highly recommend!
