General Mcarthur's - Laurinburg

Off the beaten path and not well lit out, but what a great place. Great food, especially BBQ, at a remarkably low price. The staff was so polite and attentive, I felt like I was with my grandmother. Buffet style food is usually not my thing, but I loved this place. If you have a chance to go here, do a favor and do it.

Lunch on the way home from the beach and loved it! Just lunch was the buffet. Enjoy all meat and vegetables. When I saw the fried fatback on the buffet, I knew I was in my place.

This place was AWESOME!!! Atmosphere, food, people everything! Will definitely be back!!!!

Best BBQ EVER!. General McArthur 's has the best BBQ in the world, in my Carolina opinion. The meat is lean and tender. In the Carolina tradition, add your own sauce as you eat it. The meat is cooked with this large vinegar-based sauce (which is rather a marinade) that I found only in the district of Scotland. The buffet includes everything from green beans to beet green, from claw to fat back, from maize bread (fried) to white rolls, from peach to banana pudding. Who needs labels? If you did not try General McArthur 's, you did not eat North Carolina BBQ to its best.

Best BBQ in Carolina. Period. Good people, great food.. Legendary. The General and Young General Brent are indeed BBQ legends and the best people around.
