I grew up in Launceston and went to Lonnie 's a few times in the early noughties. I remember the peak of my nights there being Beyonce 's Crazy In Love played 7 times over the course of 3 hours.Flash forward to 2021, I 've managed to get back to my hometown for Mona Foma with a bunch of friends from Melbourne and we hit Bakers Lane.The dancefloor was empty when we arrived, but the DJ must have sensed we were frothing a sesh as he put on Celebration by Kool and The Gang.30 minutes later and this dancefloor was heaving more than Burnie on pension day. I was worried for my life when the DJ played Freestyler by Bomfunk MCs the result giving Launceston its greatest magnitude scale rating since the great Cataract Gorge flood of 1929.I never knew why it was called Bakers Lane but given everyone there was cooked, it all makes sense to me now.

Once restrictions hace eased and can utilize the dj will be great

Had a good time there for a couple of drinks but the range of drinks was quite small. The fact that they do have food is a big positive though.
