Restaurant bewertenWhat a great find. Everything you eat is amazing and delicious. Staff are wonderful and excellent customer service skills. Never an empty glass at the table or at the bar. The staff always checks you. If you're here, you'd think you're in South Korea. This is the place to be when you are in Korean foods.
I love this place! I always feel at home and welcome. The food is amazing, the workers are so personal and friendly. Great energy and you can always expect to make a new friend when you come, especially when Karoke begins time! Danny, Chong, Kelsey and the chefs are amazing! I highly recommend this place!
Where is that? (Gabocha is a great place to get a taste of Korea without crossing the pond. It's South Florida's Anju HQ! Gabose's sister restaurant menu reminds more of Korean street food, so you will be sure to find Jigae [Stews], bap [rice dishes], etc., and the always present in Korean cuisine table centric cooktops (the Samgyupsul [pork belly] is fantastic. A standout article is the knight nachos. Ramen, bro? Like this meal I cooked after cutting the class and just before driving to the keggers in college? I am a poly-sci major and ramen ain 't nachos!!! Not quite, Guy! The traditional tortilla chips are exchanged with uncooked ramen noodles and the protein used takes a hard right curve as bogogi [married Korean Bbq beef] replaces Cumin seasoned ground beef. It is then with all known Nacho Fixins, It may sound strange, but do your taste buds a favor and order it. Remember to bring some friends, because the part is more than enough for two very hungry people. The spicy chicken wings are a must to order appetizer and how the f they get these bird parts so perfectly crispy? Must be an old Korean secret. You also have a perceptible selection of seasonal seafood (they even get live octopus flown in FROM KOREA I can go on, but let the menu explore for yourself. Although they only serve beer and wine, you would be hard pressed to find no liberation that meets the place. If you have not tried soju or seju, the place to do it is. It is essentially a somewhat sweetened and stronger rice wine, which is not too dissimilar to love, but similar enough to differ from other rice-based alcoholic beverages. If you order with a group the watermelon soju watermelon infused soju SERVED IN A WATERMELON. They also have shrubs that are brownish sweet fruit infused soy drinks. Some flavors include strawberry basil, and pineapple jalapeno. Definitely worth a try. The traditional beer they wear is Hite Ice Point, a Korean local camp, similar to Bud/ Coors, but better. Or maybe it just tastes better because it simply has the free Savory Korean pancakes (or Korean pizza? beautiful and seems to fit well with the K-pop playing through the speakers. Either way, even the biggest beer snobs would have difficulty resisting the allure of this foreign beer. They also have some local and familiar brews occasionally turn on **** so no obligation to stay with hits. The wine is also available on the tape. To sum up everything, Gabocha is fun and legitimate place for a casual night to spend dinner with friends, go for a date, or just stop for a drink... or three. The staff sets the standard for restaurant hospitality; not only in South Florida, but in life. Period. From the moment you go and are greeted with Anyo haseyo! You feel like visiting the Korean family you never had. If you are unfamiliar with Korean food, the servers will be happy to be your culinary guides (and even help you shake your Dosirak [Korean rice punch box], which is also excellent, and served in genuine Korean military-issued measuring kits. Occasionally there are great parties that are thrown (i.e. for Halloween, New Year and their Jubilee). Make sure Gabocha is in your food rotation. Come on!
The food, the staff, the ambiance everything about gabocha is amazing. After moving back to the states from Korea, I've finally found a place that reminds me of my fondest times in Korea!
We went there the week after it had opened. It was a small group of us, three but I had an amazing time. The atmosphere was lively and completely welcoming. We were greeted with 'Annyeonghasyeo ' from not only the staff but also the customers. It feels like a little piece of Korea in the middle of Florida. The menu, although simplistic, was full of unique and completely adorable recipes. The ramen is served in a military lunch box, giving yet again another rustic feel. The soju was delicious- infused with Pear, Apple and Grape flavors. The owners and wait staff were amazing. I was blown away. This was a perfect way to end our night.
