Restaurant bewertenThe bartender was rude and not giving good customer service. Took my order and came back around 10 minutes later came back with no drink. Looked me right in the eye like I was bothering him and finally acknowledged my order of a simple margarita. It was not good and very watered down..
It is not unusual for us to get complimentary upgraded suites. A Gallery Suite, at The Cromwell, was a free option when I booked on-line, a couple months prior. Well, when we arrived inVegas, we checked-in and went up to our room. Not only was it not the gallery suite, but it had not even been cleaned after the previous guest 's stay. So, we went back down to the front desk, thinking this was all just a mix-up. However, only then, was it brought to our attention that our original room reservation was deemed an error, and therefore it was downgraded to a regular room. Our stay was still complimentary though. We all thought (including the employee that that was really not a cool thing for the company to do without any prior notification (What if it was for our wedding where we needed the large square footage? We might have been willing to pay for it. We were not given the option. . We were encouraged to call the department that was responsible for the change. The person on the line was of no help and told us to check with the front desk for assistance. Anyway, because of the lack of communication and the uncleaned room, the girl at the front desk gave us a food credit. I didn 't really want to push the issue because I understand that errors happen, we really didn 't need the extra space, and after all, the room was still free of charge. Now, fast forward to check-out a few days later. They sent me a portfolio of charges via email. They tried to charge us for the room and the meals! So, I had to call and wait for them to double check everything and make the corrections. It was yet another disappointment. I really don 't appreciate spending my vacation on the phone (check out my Dunkin ' Donuts review of the Fremont location trying to fix things. I also don 't like to complain, but I don 't want this to happen to others. Nowadays, companies don 't seem to care about lousy customer service. I would avoid this place all together.
I really wanted to love the Cromwell as I’ve gambled here for years while staying at other hotels. While it has a great location and I still love the casino, the rooms were small, worn, dark, dirty and we even had a bug on the bed.Check In was good I had to wait for a room but knew that would happen with an early arrival I asked for a fridge for meds but it never arrived and once we were in the room we had no TV remote. The room is dark and was worn and dirty (uses a couple wipes to clean up spilled soda on the drawers and counter). Noise from the street was LOUD as well as the construction outside that stated before 8am.Again the casino and bars were great great location but I won’t be back sadly not the boutique experience I imagined.Pics of the fun machines and a nasty little visitor in the bed.
Love the room, very spacious. I requested a handicap bathroom close to elevator, I got what I wanted. The only problem I had was that the bed was too high making it difficult for me to get on. Getting off was easy, I just slid down, getting on it was a challenge. Next time I know to tell them to remove the box under the mattress so that it's not so high.Like the location, walking distance to all other casinos or take monorail if you want to go further.Enough eateries and entertainment in vicinity. All in all, the stay was both rewarding and relaxing.
This is our second time staying at the Cromwell in the past two years. The casino floor is excellent servers, dealers, pit bosses, security, the guy at the entrance to Drai 's Beach Club, and the general atmosphere but the rooms are a different story.State of our room when we checked in zero toiletries, one towel, a price tag in the toilet that wouldn 't flush so we picked it out ourselves to avoid any potential issues with clogging and hair all over the floor that we also wiped up. We called Guest Services to ask for toiletries/towel and advise that it didn 't look like the room was cleaned who advised housekeeping would be up shortly. Sure, no problem so we left for dinner. When we came back, there was a stack of towels on the coffee table but still no toiletries so we had to go downstairs to request them. Normally not a big deal except instead of a general oh we 're sorry for the inconvenience, we were met with I just started my shift so... while being handed a clear bag with a bunch of toiletries inside. I am 99.9% sure our room wasn 't cleaned as when we got housekeeping during our stay (credit goes to Ana for doing a great job), we returned to the floors swept (dust bunnies gone), full set of toiletries (apparently we didn 't even get everything the first time) and just felt cleaned. The rooms themselves are dark, but if you want to be an optimist, you could describe it as mood lighting . Depending on if the lights turned on, the mirror in the main sleeping area (by the purple chair) can look into the bathroom (the mirror in the shower). This time we got a room with the view of the strip which translated to a view of the pedestrian bridge with all the noise from the strip including people, buskers, music, and the traffic. Last time we had a view of the back parking lot but right by the elevator so a lot of noise from that plus every creek of the pipes in the building.Cromwell is in a great location in the middle of the strip with amazing staff on the casino floor. As a smaller hotel, it has fewer guests and you won 't be lost inside. However, understandably the building is old and the renovations are like lipstick on a pig but lipstick fades and you begin to look like a hot mess if there 's no reapplying/maintenance.
