We stayed in L'Anse St Jean for a week and enjoyed the short walk from our hotel to Patisserie Louise in the mornings to get fresh croissants and muffins. The staff was nice and the smell of the freshly baked bread was heavenly. The bakery sign says it opens at 8am but the croissants were ready closer to 9am. If they are not quite ready when you get there, there is a swing seat on the front porch that you can sit on and enjoy the view of the fjord while you wait.
Pâtés, tourtières, tartes ( framboises, bleuet...) , galettes, biscuits, muffins. SOUVENIR de mon enfance LES TARTES super délicieuses ! Arrêt OBLIGATOIRE!!!
The last two times, we were received very coldly by the owner. We understand that someone can have a bad day, but a little smile would still be appreciated! We felt like we were bothering her. Not very welcoming! It's a shame because the pastries are really good (especially the chicken ones).
Upon entering this cozy bakery located in a small home, you will immediately notice women busy making meat pies, cookies, and bread on the left side, with an oven in the background and shelves displaying their goods for sale on the right. The atmosphere is charming and welcoming.
