Restaurant bewertenFantastic tasting menu dinner experience with tons of attention to detail, beautiful plating, and excellent service.
They now have an ala carte or bar menu and a multi course tasting menu. (The menu changes every week.)I was very excited to try out the bar menu because I love staying at the Inn at Langley. To my taste, the food was overly fussy and not worth a second try.The Parker house rolls were so buttery I thought I had gone to heaven, but, the horseradish chive butter was bitter and cold. The butter ruined what could have been an extraordinary tasting experience. The skinny, 2 inch piece of crab in the crab avocado salad was served with a fizzy, acidic dressing that overshadowed the crab. The half avocado was coated in some kind of black herb that made it look like half a dead black widow spider and, unfortunately, tasted just about as good. The salmon dish was cooked to perfection, but there was little of it.The $24 glass of Malbec tasted no better than the bottle of Malbec I get at Trader Joes for $12.99. (I am not complaining about the price of the glass of Malbec because I know restaurant's are struggling these days I just thought they could do better for a $24 glass of wine.)The service was wonderful. The food plating was beautiful. The restaurant is in a lovely setting that makes you feel like you are on an European vacation. You might want to check it out if you like tasting interesting flavors.
One of our favorite places to visit. This was our first time back since they changed from the prefix menu and it did not disappoint. The quality is on point, service impeccable, and the presentation as always is top notch.
I wasn't sure what to expect post-pandemic so I made dinner reservations hoping their restaurant was still excellent. In fact, the food was even better than I remember! Their new chef deserves as many kudos as possible for the exquisite and creative menu. The entire table was smiling as we began eating the salmon and the medley of tastes is unequaled. Service was superb as well as was the ambiance. A definite A+ in my book.
The Inn is fabulous. Gorgeous rooms with a quiet setting and incredible views and grounds. All the employees were very kind and helpful. My only negative was the food quantity in the restaurant for dinner. We did the tasting menu; and the food was delicious but the portions were so small, my wife and I had to go get something to eat after. My salmon, the main course, was a bit dry and bland. I ate it all, but still mentioned it to our server. We booked this for our 20th wedding anniversary, and the Inn wrote us a nice note and surprised us with champagne in the room. No mention at the restaurant though, even though I noted it on our reservation. I was expecting at least a mention from our server or the chef. Overall, after spending as much on dinner as our room, I was left disappointed. It won't stop me from coming back to the Inn, but I don't know if I would do dinner again. The complimentary breakfast was the star of the stay. Incredible handmade foods with delicious flavors.
