We had tried the pub at the Four Points Sheraton before and been disappointed but figured we would have another try being that time had passed and we were just looking for a cold beer and some nachos. We saw the seasonal patio decided to sit out in the fresh air. We were seated promptly and our order was taken quickly, as there were few people in the pub, but then the wheels fell off the bus. We waited forever for our pitcher of what had become warm beer, were given warm glasses to drink from, and by the time the nachos showed up had run out of beer. The nachos came on a 6 inch by 12 inch wood slab, were stone cold, and would have had an anorexic octogenarian looking for more food. The nachos were grossly overpriced, stale and sparse of toppings. We then waited a lengthy time for our bill while the waitress sat and chatted with friends at another table. We walked through the hotel and were stunned at how such a new hotel could become so run down in such a short time. I could only imagine what the rooms are kept like. Very 2 star. We won't be back.
Outside bar and lounge with fun food great service . The nachos fully loaded on a bread board is great for sharing with friends. The fish and chips are great too. There are several lounge areas plus tabled dining available.Full bar available.
After one bad experience here, we thought we would give it another chance. Unfortunately we were disappointed once again. We had reserved for a party of 20 a week prior and went on a Thursday night at 6pm, and we were the only guests there. We had two waitress' to serve the two tables and based on the energy we received from them, it was too much for them to handle. They were disorganized and lacked personality. Our drinks took forever to receive, and when we finally did receive them, the Cesar's were awful and the wine had gone bad. It took forever to take our order and when they were finally ready to take our order we were told to hurry up and order because there was another reservation coming at 7pm. The waitress made us out to feel like an inconvenience and her body language indicated she didn't want to be there. My husband and I ordered our drinks at the same time, when she brought his drink, she asked where it went, I told her he had the Bulldog and I ordered the Fruit Cobbler, she snapped at me and told me my drink was coming and just to wait a minute! I was shocked! Here I was trying to help her out... The food sub- par. It was expensive and came out cold and wasn’t worth the cost at all. The cherry on top was when we asked for the bill and she confirmed "you want your bill" and we're like, “yes, please”. She then paused awkwardly and said "PERFECT!" (this was the most personality we got out of her). Then of course she was very personable when the bills went around the table and she collected our cards for payment. She asked what we were out celebrating and I told her it was my Birthday….she forgot the cake in the back…Overall, you’re paying high prices for crappy food and service in exchange for a nice patio.
One of the best patios in the Westshore, great bar, lounge tables... a must see! A true Victoria hidden gem!
