Restaurant bewertenLove the Edge!! I've had both breakfast and lunch several times. The cheesesteak is amazing, all the breakfast sandwiches and burritos are great. Service is awesome, food comes out quick, hot, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend.
Definitely Fair pricing. Great food. I had French toast and a croissant sandwich style meat omelet. Yum! Friendly. Had spaced outdoor seating. Thank you. Open till 2pm Breakfast and lunch.
This cafe was not at all what I expected it to be after I had seen it a few times driving by, and that is not a bad thing at all. It is definitely a bare bones place, but man the food was shockingly good. You go up to the counter and order, then sit down and they will bring your food out, so it’s kind of in between fast food and sit down. I liked the iced coffee I got a lot, it was just simple and good. For food, I got the steak and cheese omelet, and boy did I enjoy that. The steak, mixed with the peppers and onions just had enough saltiness and savory flavor, it all worked together so nicely. My dad got the special that had chicken tenders, gravy, eggs, hash browns and just a whole mix of stuff and he absolutely destroyed it. Overall I was super surprised how good the food was here and I’d come again. It’s a nice change up from your typical sit-down breakfast/ brunch joints.
So I decided to have an early breakfast on Sunday morning and went to this cafe after having driven past multiple times but not stopping in. Within 10 mins of ordering, I got my french toast, eggs, toast, ham, and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns at this place require no ketchup/hot sauce/extra flavor. They are tasty enough the way they make them...actually some of the best hashbrowns I've ever had! I really wanted to try the reuben so yesterday I called to make an order but they were unfortunately out of rye bread. No problem decided to get the cheesesteak sandwich and that ended up being a GREAT decision. The bread was soft and warm (no burnt or overly crunchy bread like I've experienced at other places). I had them make it the way they normally make it and this sandwich was delicious! So far 2 for 2! Then today, I gave them another call, they had rye bread again, so I needed to try their reuben (my favorite sandwich). I told the gentleman on the phone that I did not want thousand island dressing on my reuben. I used to order from a little deli in Chicago where they put yellow mustard on reuben sandwiches instead of TI dressing, and so that's how I've always enjoyed it. The guy said that he actually likes his reubens the same way as me...first time I've ever heard that in 25+ years. Went and picked up the sandwich and it was one of the closest reuben sandwiches when comparing to that special reuben I used to order as a kid up north. So far, this place is 3 for 3 for me and I will most likely be returning frequently to patronize their cafe. The only downside I could potentially see is that this is a smaller type cafe. I guess you could call it one of those secret hole in the wall spots that happens to serve great food. I love that the place is veteran owned and from my experiences so far, they work together like a family. This may not be the place to invite 20 people to breakfast or lunch, but for larger groups, just order takeout and if you're just trying to get a quick bite solo or with one other person, this is THE place for breakfast and/or lunch! Thank you Edgewood Cafe staff for giving me a wonderful food option only five min away from my business!
Despite the fact its 9 am I was craving a pastrami sandwich and the edge came through with an amazing one! Been wanting to try this place and I'm officially a fan! Prices are very fair for fresh homemade food. They paid attention to detail and switched the rye bread out for Texas toast on my door dash order. The biscuits and gravy tasted like they were both from scratch. Awesome little local cafe. Ill be back soon to support privately owned local
