Everything we’ve had from here is DELICIOUS. But the Gumbo is an absolute favorite. Best gumbo I’ve had! The owners are also extremely sweet. Highly recommend stopping when they’re here.

Not impressed . Beans were not fully cooked and food was pretty much flavorless . Salt and spices are cheap ....try it .

I had my first visit to southern Gal’s today and we will definitely be back! The catfish, macaroni, creamed corn, fried cabbage and sweet potato cake were all amazing!!!!! The owners are so great and I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu!

Great food, friendly service, actual Cajun cooking in a small Texas town. Wow, I'm happy!!!!

Love the food, no matter what you get it's all great. Hospitality from Carol and her husband is wonderful.
