Kathy's Lakeside Inn - Lake Zurich

This place is now under new management and it is wonderful! We went there a few weeks ago and the burgers were fantastic. In fact, we go back today as the food, drinks and service is great!!

The best bacon cheeseburgers in Lake County, Illinois. I love to go to this scenic roadhouse and sit outside on the patio while the sun slowly sets...just heaven!

It's a house on the lake tuned into a bar. Bar food and vibe. So I give it 4 starts for what it is. On a nice summer day u get a cold beer.

Is that the next Phoenix that gets out of the ashes? A thriller maybe! Kathy's daughter moved home from Florida to take over. Although it is only open for a week, you can feel that it will make a strong statement. The burgers are great, the service is fast, and she is such a great hostess. I swore I would never go back, now I swear. Can't wait for the new flat screens! Good luck!

I'm glad to hear that Kathy's daughter has returned from FL. If you are there last year, you have experience fighting Kathy to do everything. There is no question whether she has problems. I was there several nites and had to find out my own account and just tell her what it is. And on ninths, when others were there (and never before) I let them know what they were for. What she needed was compassion and help, and I know she got that from regular guests. for those who did not know about Kathy's health problems, I would just say that Kathy's will give a try again with her daughter as a new owner. I think you will enjoy the food and the atmosphere AND service. And let Kathy know that the regulars really enjoyed the place, all those she served us. Jon!
