Restaurant bewertenYour caesar salad is good and the pizza was decent. The pizza dough was thicker than a traditional NY crust, which led to a Chewier pizza. The service was great; our waiter was attentive and professional. The different pictures from NY on the walls were great starters with my non-NY dinner companion.
The first time you try this place and have been recommended by someone, the pizza is tasteless and the undercooked sauce is on the goopt. It's like someone didn't care what they did. I'm one and done, there are many other pizza places that are better. I'm glad I was wasting $25 on this trash. You lost my business at the first attempt. In Little Caesars, the pizza looks like it's a sloppy mess.
So I've been going to NYPD II for years. From Brooklyn NY I have to say they have very good food. Tonight I ordered a regular pizza with half pepper salad and a chicken palm. The pizza was terrible. It reminded me of New Jersey Pizza in 1975. It was flat, had no crust and very little cheese. Very disappointing.
It was ice cold inside, with ceiling fans on which it felt colder and I usually like it cold, but not in a restaurant when it gets my food too cold. It was clean and well organized with tables and stands. There only one waiter appeared all over the place. He came to the table and was very pleasant and helpful. I ordered aubergine parmesan, my husband ordered chicken parmesan. Both came with soup or salads and a side of pasta. Both parmesans were delicious, but very strongly baked. We both felt there was actually more bread than chickens or eggplants. The spaghetti was good as the sauce. My salad was fresh and blue cheese dressing very nice, I wish I had more, but the poor waiter was stretched to the border so I don't disturb him for extra dressing. Hubby had a chicken soup that was amazing. I don't remember what it was called when I never heard of it. Someone actually shut down the ceiling fans before our hot food arrived, which was very appreciated and as busy as it was, our waiter treated it like the professional he proved. All in all, no bad food. Shall we go back? Sure, but next time, we'll stick to pasta dishes.
They recently changed their garlic rolls and the new ones are flavorless and dry. I hope they go back to making them the old way. Penne Ala Vodka is the best I?ve had in Palm beach County!
