Casa Del Pollo - Lake Oswego

So I was in Lake Oswego for work after moving to Costa Rica from the Portland region. I think I felt a little bit home and, to my surprise, there was a Costa Rican restaurant right on the street from my office. I was blown away when I saw the Costa Rican restaurants in my travels. I stopped and ordered lunch, choice from eating like a Tico page of the menu. I ordered a traditional dish with rice beans, also known as Gallo Pinto, and I got the roast chicken because I heard it was great there. Oh, my God, it was so good. This chicken...serious, the taste was amazing, and it was cooked to perfection. And this Gallo Pinto was one of the best I had anywhere. Seriously, WAY exceeded my expectations. Costa Ricans are usually not big on spices or heat, and I definitely had some Bland Afterthought yields of Gallo Pinto. That wasn't that. It was good as a stand alone. I had time to chat with the Tico owners and they were also beautiful and were very encouraging by my pitiful attempt in Spanish (I am still learning lol). It was so much fun talking to them. I will definitely stop again the next time I am in the states for some reason. You shouldn't be missed.

The beans and rice combination was amazing, I just wanted to eat it by myself. The Tres Leches cake was also great! The cake was somewhat firmer than usual, so it was chewing with a little more even after it was dipped with milk. We also got chickens and sausages that were tasteful and delicious, but above all the service was wonderful. We came close by because we wanted to go home for two hours, and wanted dinner before, but they were very nice about it. I'll come back when I go through!

A little ? piece of Costa Rica in Portland. The food was authentic and delicious ??. The owner was so nice and friendly. Very proud to found a costar rican restaurant and feel home ?? A must go

I love this place. I hear lunch regularly. The service is impeccable and the food is healthy and tasty. One of the reasons I return is how friendly and worthy the owner is. Look at this place safely.
