Old Lahaina Shave Ice

The best! Take any razor that you have eaten (Bahama-Bucks, Matsumotos, your local stand) and paint it at 5! All syrups are so fresh and tasty, the ice is made locally, and the ice itself is so soft and perfect. We came here six times in six days. The last time we came, they randomly mixed my order, so they gave us the ones they screwed, a new right and an extra bowl of Macadamia Nusseis! The line can be long, but it is worth it.

The first time for shaved ice and I loved it. There is a fair queue, but it is so tolerated by the sun. The menu is on the website so you can choose while you wait. The queue is worth it. Best location on the island. Top tip don't worry about ice base or snow cap. Try unbeted first. Ululani size is good for two to share or one of you want a lot on your own. If there is not enough concentrate, then they will add more free (which is not a problem for us). Several sugar-free options for those who want to limit sugar intake. There are also a lot of sheltered seats a little further back from the road just keep walking.

Ululanis shaving ice cream was my favorite shark I got on my last trip to Maui and Oahu. I have the size of the child (which was more than enough for me) with pineapple, coconut and mango syrup and a snow cap (condensed milk). The syrups were thick and tasted like real fruit! I also liked the shaving ice texture that really smooth and not super “icy”. I went on Monday at 18:45 after dinner and waited 45 minutes for order. It took about 5 minutes to make my bowl. If you want to avoid the line, I suggest going earlier!

Ululani is a great place to get some ice cream. They have a large number of flavors, but they are busy so they are often made from certain ice or azuki beans. We tried the heupia ice cream with ours and loved it because it is basically coconut ice cream, which is really good with razor ice cream. Very refreshing on a hot Maui day :

Great service, really delicious. This is the first time I've had shaved ice and it was a lot smoother and more flavorful than I expected. Snow cones? Pff get out of town, shaved ice is way better.
