Restaurant bewertenWe stayed at The Ranch at Laguna Beach for two nights this past weekend. We had the most memorable time mostly in part to the employees that we met there: Eduardo, Scott, Wissam, and Chris from the restaurant, McKenna from the farm, Sonia from the front desk, Andy from the golf course, and most importantly, Carissa McDevitt. Carissa helped us plan the most amazing, unforgettable weekend of our lives. We cannot thank her enough. As for The Ranch itself the location is breathtaking, the food is delicious, the rooms are clean, and the service is impeccable.
The front desk staff tried to charge again on prepaid booking. Even she was at fault, no apology was made and continued with the hostile attidude. Very disappointing service and never coming back.
Mitch, do you remember the large business group you had on Wednesday? Their disrespectful comments about sitting in a reserved seat for $200 were surprising, especially since we spent over $8,000. Not a single one of the "maintained" areas was available to us. This ended up costing the waitstaff hundreds of dollars in additional tips. If they want to change their seating arrangements or show more care, they should consider that.
I'm saddened to say that after years of enjoying this restaurant, our family will not be returning. We experienced truly outrageous behavior from a manager who followed us into the restaurant and threatened us due to her bad day. I've already reached out to the general manager but have yet to receive a response. The level of service we encountered was unacceptable; it’s astonishing that this particular manager, Laura, could behave so poorly and face no consequences. Even the staff who were working that day spoke negatively about her and the management. They did apologize for the incident, but it doesn’t change our decision to leave.
We played golf and had lunch at Harvest. It’s a fantastic place!
