Pastelaria Verdemar - Lagoa

We stopped here as our hotel was very close. It's just a small restaurant, but a good place to eat for a quick bite. You have a selection of foods for a quick and easy bite to eat, for example burgers, toasties, pizza. They also do a few different meals offers that are good value for money. The prices for food and drinks are good. The staff were friendly and service was fast. The food was well cooked and tasted beautiful. The only negative I can give was that some flies were flying around in the undercover outer surface. We sat in the back corner of the lower deck. I know flies are likely when there is food, but they were anger. I had to throw them away and everything I wanted to do was enjoy my food. They might not/or perhaps not be a problem for other diners, but if there are 3 or 4 that continue to fly and land on the table, it was annoying. I think the restaurant should try to address this by having fly fingers or using insect repellent. Total friendly staff, clean environment, delicious food and fast service. I'd come back.

Friendly staff. Used by locals and ex-pats which is always a good recommendation. The mixed salad is superb,tasty and a lot of it. Excellent coffee.

Small cafe/restaurant that you might walk by, don’t, please stop they’re really friendly, with very good prices even if you only stop for a drink. Simple but tasty food menu, all served by lovely staff, what’s not to like, try it might be your holiday favourite, we’re really pleased we did. Love the pizzas

Paid with card and was prompted with the choice of paying in EUR or converting to NOK. As i noticed i told the waitress to wait since she took the card terminal away from me and it is the customers choice. She then proceeded to press convert to NOK and i told her firmly to stop before she nonchalantly accepted a waay overpriced currency on my behalf. You ALWAYS pay in local currency... And how do you not know what stop means?!?
