La Cigogne - La Motte

Well that it's a pity that this restaurant is closing and for sale a little over a year ago we had been there for the last time and we had a good eating simple and family cuisine as we still love to find it.........

A great place to enjoy some great french cuisine.

Typically French the exterior of this local bar & restaurant may not initially attract non French speaking tourists but we were glad we overcame our fears and ventured inside for lunch.Passing through the bar into the dining area we were greeted by a very friendly lady who seemed genuinely pleased that we had visited her restaurantThe dining area was half filled with local workers having very animated conversations who appeared to be regular customers.The set meal consisted of a buffet starter with a selection of salad, ham and pâté followed by a main course of duck or roast chicken with chips or rice, then a selection of cheeses with plenty of bread was topped by a selection of home made desserts. Wine, cider or lemonade was included in the price. The service was good, the food excellent and the cost amazing at 11.50 euros per person
