Restaurant bewertenI've lost count of how many times we've dined here but it's a not to be missed stopover every time we're in this part of Burgundy and always a treat when cruising to bring friends to this outstanding hotel for lunch. Service is first class. The food excellent and the setting pure magic.
This restored ancient abbey set in an immaculate park is Michelin starred and pretty smart and English owned. Magnificent setting for a magnificent building where dinner will normally cost ~100 Euros a head and a multi course tasting menu at least half as much again. However 2 evenings (Monday/Tuesday) each week it lowers dinner prices to a more realistic BISTRO level 35 Euros (you must book). The wine list is realistic with a good entry level selection heading upwards into the stratosphere for the finest wines. The dining rooms are magnificent and this maybe raises culinary expectations a bit too much. That apart the food is good but not outstanding, but you are there just as much to feast your eyes on the magnificence of the building. A place you go to once for the experience rather than the bistro food.
We came with a party of 8 and had a very nice evening. The food was good; however, it was inconsistent. Multiple people at our table ordered the same dishes and each was cooked to a different temperature despite being asked for in the same way. Not sure if the chef was just overwhelmed this night or what... The setting is beautiful. The staff were very friendly.
Reception and park, terrace and rooms immerse us in a delicate and original atmosphere
We went, my wife and I, to this beautiful restaurant on 1131. If you want to spend an excellent time, with impeccable service, a perfect welcome and enjoy a real Burgundy cuisine go to this beautiful place. We have nothing else to say except that everything was perfect. Thank you for this great experience!
