Restaurant bewertenI have been a vegetarian for about three years, but recently had a strong craving for meat that I satisfied at Ubuntu with the Kosha Mangsho Rice combo. I believe this restaurant is one of the few places that can recreate popular non-vegetarian dishes in a plant-based format without sacrificing taste. I will definitely be visiting again.
Ubuntu is the only purely vegan restaurant in Kolkata, and on top of that, it is a zero-waste establishment. I was thrilled to discover this place! The decor is cozy yet stylish, with walls adorned with images that promote vegan lifestyle and philosophy. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is simply amazing - rich and flavorful. I have tried several dishes, all of which come in eco-friendly paper packaging for online orders. It was my first time tasting traditional meat dishes from Bengal, such as mutton biryani, mutton kosha, and shorshe mach (my personal favorite). My partner confirmed that the taste was 99% authentic. I also enjoyed their homemade hummus, which you can purchase from their mini shop for home use, as well as their delicious cakes. Lastly, this place is budget-friendly, making it a definite recommendation from me!
The restaurant, Quirky, may not have a quirky name but it's definitely worth a visit to discover its big impact. Located near Apollo Klinik opposite South City, it's more than just a vegan cafe. They promote animal adoption, sustainable practices, environmental conservation, and vegan lifestyle including recycling. The decor is aesthetic and Instagram-worthy with wall paintings and furniture made from recycled materials. The food is simple yet nutritious, filling and completely vegan. Even a non-veg lover like me enjoyed dishes like falafel with hummus and vegan chicken nuggets. They also donate to local causes and encourage support for a sustainable future. A big shoutout to the team behind this concept, as we need more places like Quirky to protect our environment and animals.
A very enthusiastic bunch of people who firmly believe in what they are doing. Good food, cosy and homely ambience, great experience. Thanks. Keep going.
From a channel we know about the vegan caffe. as we have heard there, we will get various types of Veg dishes. we were very excited to go there on Saturday. coz, it's a total veg day for us, so we went there and oh my gosh. so delicious dishes wid d almost the same taste of the non-veg eat. all dishes were so delicious and mouth water. So we decided to stay there to try all the dishes and the host. abhinav. and chef shreya both too well to welcome all guests. I want to say that everything goes there at least once to taste her food. I want to say everyone has to taste luchi koshamansho and fysh fry. I hope everyone will love. Thank you.
