Wish You Were Here. Backpackers. Bar. Restaurant. Otres Beach

We were not here, but hanged up in the bar and had a great night. The bartenders were super friendly, but really attentive. Talk about good work. The whole mood was great and everyone was friendly. Would highly recommend if only jump in and see what it is about.

What a great place to chill! Perfect place to relax and enjoy when it is sunny or when you rain. The staff is friendly and the owners are great. Get the vegetable burger, with or without bacon! Will not be disappointed.

Nice hostel with a large bar/restaurant area. The menus are extensive from Western to local dishes. The rooms are comfortable, the fan is powerful enough to cool two people at night. There is a lot of shelves if you want to stay for a while and expose your stuff. At night, the bar is quite lively. If you stay up, you'll hear everything.

A really relaxed and comfortable place to drink an evening while traveling. The staff was nice and the community of backpackers remained friendly there. The seats range from bar stools to hammocks and suspension chairs, so probably a good place to have an afternoon snack.

Wish you were.....somewhere else. Busy and friendly bar with some great music being played (not one chart or pop song! . If I were reviewing this as a bar then it would easily get 5* from me. However, as a hostel, it's a different story. The place is made completely from wood so there's no sound proofing whatsoever, we went there to relax for two days and the music was pounding until 3am. There was also a violent domestic between a backpacker couple in one of the adjacent rooms. That's not the hostels fault, it is however their fault that it was allowed to continue for what seemed like an hour before the staff stepped in. The first floor doesn't have rooms as such, just dividers, which means you can hear everything and most rooms don't have windows so it's like a dark noisy box. The hostel and bar both share the same toilets and showers, so if you imagine trying to have a shower in the toilet of a busy bar.... you get the idea. It isn't an unsavoury place just constructed poorly.
