Restaurant bewertenThis is not close to the first time we have been to The Works, we thoroughly enjoy the burgers and beers but this visit all five of us at the table received very, very cold fries. I think the fries were done then awaited the burgers which sat for quite some time. Now you may say, it was Fathers Day and busy, it was not at the time we were there which was just before 4pm. It was half full at the time of ordering and got busy within a half hour to an hour after. This was the time in which we received our food, 48 minutes after order which was no issue as we were enjoying our time though all the fries were super cold and had to be returned. They were prompt to get them back to us about 10 minutes later but half way through the burgers and not one was removed off the bill.I am not sure it will be any where near the top of our burger places any more, but as I review so many it is time to try another place.
If you go you are going because you are very hungry & you want a big crazy burger! This is your spot.
Choose your toppings from a long list of entertaining options; select your meat from seven options, select your side and the bun you desire (none for me, gluten free for my daughter). Great fries and onion rings with hand made shakes makes for a memorable meal Wine and beer are also available. Both vegan and gluten free options are available with friendly service in a cool setting. This place totally met our needs!
I had the Sexy burger. It had a thick slice of grilled pineapple, a sweet BBQ sauce, cream cheese and fresh banana peppers. It was AMAZING! It will be hard for me to try another kind because I loved this one so much. The meat was cooked perfectly.
Went with the family to The Works. Was there with my wife a long time ago and loved it. At the time I thought it was great but expensive. This time it was horrible and still expensive. My burger was torched so bad it was crunchy on the outside with that burnt beef taste and like dust on the inside. The others were overdone as well but not burnt like mine. The size of the burgers was about 1/2 of what I had experienced my first time. All of us felt the same as when you go to McDonald's and your burger is nothing like the photos on the wall. We were all disappointed in our burgers but the onion rings were fantastic. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because our server was very nice and helpful. I would expect to pay about $70- $75 for our meals but it was over $100 for the 4 of us. I could have eaten a properly cooked prime rib burger at Martinis for the same price and wouldn't have been crammed into the smallest booth I have ever been in. Won't be returning. Very disappointed.
