Pagoda Restaurant - Kirkland Lake

The food was a great value (though I had better fried rice). The meal was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful. Many hard working staff work at Pagoda and are to be commended for their service. The decor is what makes the restaurant absolutely unique! My only complaint is the dirty windows and floors. Please make time to scrub!

Got Chinese for my birthday and it was wonderful. We're lucky to have a restaurant as such in our little town, thanks Pagoda. Friendly staff too!!

Some reviews state its looks like it hasn't changed decor since the 80's, let me tell you, they ate wrong, it hasn't changed since the 70's. And that's why I love it. Food is great, and when visiting my old home town I can now take my kids to the Pagoda and get the same food, same amazing friendly service I did when there as a kid with my parents. You certainly don't get the kind of friendly waitress service in Toronto, as you do at the Pagoda. Magagement. Don't change a thing.

Staff are very nice and service is quick, but the food is lacking in flavour and authenticity. The decor has not changed in at least 30 years. Our last take out order we had to wait an extra 25 minutes past pick up time. Got home to find our order was missing one meal item and the sauces were missing. They tell us to come back and one hour later they give us the missing items with a "sorry bout that". Meanwhile the chicken is cold and rubbery and everything needs to be reheated.

This is another great haunt of ours when we visit KL. The staff is so friendly, the food is delicious and this place is always so busy. It's certainly a step back in time in terms of decor but there is nothing untimely with the great portions of food arriving at your table piping hot! Great and affordable...you can't go wrong!
