Restaurant bewertenWe had a great meal here earlier in the Summer, well recomended if you are in Keswick
Visited on the 2nd night of our stay, Sunday 13 Jun 2021, as we found out when passing-by, Saturday night, that *you don't need to book a table* in advance to eat there! We arrived and then were sat in the brasserie section of the hotel, which is an outdoors covered area (like a conservatory/green house) where you can see the busy shoppers tourists walking by... Well furnished and warm area. Pleasantly and efficiently served by the 2 young lady waitresses, 1 a local Cumbrian girl and 1 a Spanish girl from Andalusia, which is always a pleasure for me, as I'm a Spanish native speaker and it always feels nice and welcoming to be spoken to in Spanish. Besides, the waitresses were very efficient and informative as to which and how many Tapas selections to order, what brand of prosecco to have, where were the toilet facilities and, the other highlight, the Spanish waitress kindly guided me to the front street entrance of the brasserie to avoid the steps, returning from the ladies services back to my table, as I had an injured knee! Very very thoughtful. I'm rubbish at remembering names but these 2 waitresses and the kitchen lad were mavericks attending a full house between just them 3...! They deserve a medal Food quality is 3/5 for tapas Service 5/5 Recommended and we will be back again next time we're in Keswick.
Food is excellent, everybody in our group enjoyed what they ordered. Good selection of local beers as well, have booked again to go back
Very impressed by the kitchen and the decor. the service was good, but could have been a bit more attentive. we recommend
I stayed at the Skiddaw Hotel and dined there twice. Everything was of an exceptionally high standard. The service was fantastic and attentive, yet not intrusive.
