Restaurant bewertenI absolutely enjoyed my experience here. Mr. Ted is very personable and friendly. Plus his dry rub is delicious and fall off the bone ribs is to die for!
The parking lot is very small, we called ahead and asked if they had beef ribs. The woman we spoke to said yes! Great because we don't eat pork really. We arrive and I wait on the order. As my order is coming out the woman who is helping is coughing all over the place and clearly sick. I leave quickly thinking, well the food is probably still good and at this point I'm hangry because I've been waiting a long time. I go to eat some delicious beef ribs and wouldn't you know it, they're pork. The chicken was dry and the beef brisket was dry, lacked smokey flavor and was over priced. The cole slaw had no flavor. Save yourself some money.
My cousin and I stopped in there for lunch, it is a pure Mom and Pop operations. They are great, and very sweet people. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. If I am ever in Kenner again, I will make my way over there.
Went again for great BBQ I like the smoked chicken, my bro loves the ribs. The food is excellent. I gave a 4 because the side portion was so small. We will be back on a regular basis. P
Sunday evening my husband and I decided to order locally and we chose Ted’s. I captured our selections on paper before calling to order to be sure I got exactly what we wanted. I called using my cell phone which has a 301 area code. (I was stationed in Maryland when I got the number and have seen no need to change it. I verbalized our order to the gentleman who answered. All went as expected. I arrived to pick up our order and the gentleman, who is very sharp by the way, was there along with a woman. Both were very welcoming and pleasant. We talked about the Saints’ recent victory and speeding tickets, etc etc. Nice time, right? Well our order costed much more than anticipated and I got home to discover there were no rib tips. This is the main reason we ordered from them… the rib tips! We got beef brisket instead. We like brisket, but had a taste for rib tips. The 1/2 chicken smoked platters with baked beans, coleslaw, and Texas toast were delicious. The food is good! No rib tips! I called back and was told they haven’t had rib tips since COVID. Why wasn’t I told that when I placed my order? There was no empathy or offer to make it right either. Why hasn’t the menu been updated online? Did they think we were tourists due to area code? The menu in the restaurant showed the increased prices, but I didn’t take a photo. The cost went from approximately $36+ tax and tip to $58 with tax plus a $7tip. We always tip! FYI: The menu items and prices have changed. Another case of “It is what it is!” Got to be more careful!
