Very recommended to come here. When San Diego natives I believed that Mexican Spicy and it wasn't disappointed. Friendly owners, able to speak Japanese and English. One who bites more than I would ever give out Burrito and fries home, but it would still have sworn.
I traveled to the area for the sole purpose of going to this burrito joint. First of all, the food is really good. Most places in Japan that serve a specific type of foreign food have a small selection. Cactus Burrito is not one of those places. It has an extensive menu that spans 4-5 pages, front and back. The ingredients are carefully picked and sought out. The owners have even gone so far as having their own jalapenos grown in Japan! Secondly, the atmosphere was great. You can tell that the owners put a lot of love and thought into the space. It feels as if you have been transported to the U.S. One thing to note is that the space is small so best to enjoy it in similarly smaller groups. Finally, the owners are very friendly. I got the opertunity to speak with one of them. She was very welcoming and has an excellent command of English. A delicious place that I would happily make the trip to eat at again.
Little hole-in-the-wall restaurant with a cozy ambience and appetizing food. Have had quite a lot of burritos and a couple other dishes here for the past 3 years or so mostly for takeouts. When I ordered California burritos in San Diego several years ago, they were around $9 and almost twice the size, so I feel the prices here are way too expensive… (The portion is actually just right for me, only the price is the problem. However, since there aren’t any other decent burrito (or even Mexican restaurants that I know of in this vicinity, I can’t resist the cravings and keep coming back. I’d be lost without this place! It would be nice to have some combo meals that are great value at least during lunch hours or a loyalty card of some sort. Overall, I like the flavor and the combination of each ingredient makes my mouth filled with tasty goodness In my opinion, the more the ingredients, the better, so though I absolutely love the pico de gallo on top of the current enchilada style burritos, for the inside, I preferred the old version with avocado, corn and tomatoes as well. (But I couldn’t afford if they got any pricier…!! Personally, I wish there weren’t any fat, skin or sinew on meat because I have to pick them out one by one… Also, it would be even better if there were more cheese and the French fries were a bit crispier if possible. New additions to the menu would always be welcome! If you are a fan of alcohol drinks, they seem to have some quality choices, so give them a try, too. No credit cards accepted as of yet. I’m sorry if my English is weird I’m a Japanese local.
