Byzantion Bistro - Kavakli

Food was ok, nothing too special and a but pricy but we knew that when we entered. But they tried to SCAM us by charging a 10% EXTRA TAX. We refused to pay the tax as we know this is not legal, and it was not indicated on the menu or anywhere else. Then they refused to give us the receipt with the tax, probably so we would not post it here. Not bad food but awful service.

It was a terrible dining experience! Our waiter was very kind but the food was a hit in the face for everyone that enjoys an authentic turkish meal packed with flavors. The rice tasted like mushed wallpaper and the soup felt like water in my mouth. I just can‘t understand, why anyone would spend their hard earned money on this food. Don‘t ever step a foot inside this restaurant unless you want to get scammed.

This restaurant is fantastic! Great ambiance with wonderful food. The service is courteous and generous. You should no miss it if you are enjoying this marvellous city.

Picked the place because of the decent reviews rating, an absolute flop, overpriced and tasteless food, staff is friendly but it’s not enough. Not recommended
