We had our first meal in town here. The place was clean and modern. We ordered a Green Dragon, Spicy salmon wakame (seaweed) salad. The rolls were freshly made and tasty. Service was slow though.
I love this place, every time we've been there we've left satisfied in all ways, lovely food, great service, the staff are so friendly and you can see that they want their guests to have a lovely experience. I can thoroughly recommend Sushi Maki.
Finding good quality sushi can be a hit and miss. Having tried countless of sushi restaurants in both small and big cities, even as far as Stockholm, nothing beats Sushi Maki in Karlshamn in terms of quality for an affordable price. Thanks to their perfectly balanced rice that has the right amount of sweetness alongside the fresh seafood, it makes a perfect blend of flavors that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. This restaurant made me fall in love with sushi and has managed to introduce a whole new world of cuisine into my life.
Is amazing to fine this kind of restaurant in a small city as Karlshamn. The sushi is the best that I have tasted. And I have been to many sushi restaurants in the world. The backyard is so cozy and trendy. I sat there with my girlfriend and drank some nice vine after the Sushi. We really enjoyed our time in Sushimaki.
Yesterday ordered the ”Bento Box” as usual. First, they forgot the rice! The whole rice part was missing and there were less beef on the plate than usual. The fried shrimp came cold, just like it was kept in the fridge, it wasn’t fresh. Sallad was another disappointment. The sushi pieces coming with it were fewer and different type, like leftovers of the other order. We were quite disappointed and will probably never visit this restaurant again. Been to this place many times for the last 2 years. People working there have been constantly changing so maybe that’s the reason of getting lower quality food each time, dunno.
