Parker At The Fontaine - Kansas City

The outdoor pool area was surprisingly not busy last Saturday night and we loved being able to relax in the cozy booths both inside and outside. The food was delicious especially the shrimp tacos.Food: 5/5

The waiters were friendly and the cocktails were delicious. However, there was a problem with the speed of service. It always felt like there weren't enough staff, even when the restaurant was less than a third full. The food was excellent and deserves a rating of 5 out of 5.

I did not try the food so I cannot provide a review on that, but I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant and unfortunately, I will not be returning. The drinks were tasty (hence the 2-star rating instead of 1), however, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive just one drink, which was very disappointing. This was by far the worst service I have ever experienced at a nice cocktail bar. The server seemed to be constantly bossed around by the manager and did not offer any assistance. It was evident that the server was overwhelmed with the tables and no effort was made to improve our experience. We had to ask for our bill three times before finally receiving it and waited an additional 45 minutes to pay. There was no compensation or discount offered for the inconvenience. What was supposed to be a quick drink with friends turned into a frustrating 2 and a half hour ordeal. I do not recommend this place as it is not worth the time or money.
