Restaurant bewertenThe Rule ‘eat where the locals eat’ does not apply to Grilliaki. The place was packed with Greeks devouring hunks of meat, which we leant were called ‘pork sticks’ (their translation). I was ravenous so ordered the pork grill (as all other meats were off the menu). Even considering I was so hungry I could barely tolerate the chewy, tasteless grey matter which we received. It was full of gristle. It was disgusting. The chips had a weird taste. I don’t know what oil they use?.. the food was horrible. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not being snobbish, I love street food and a good Gyro can be amazing. Considering some of the amazing food I’ve had in Crete I just keep asking myself of the locals, Why Grilliaki? Why?
Much too long, the lost waitress makes us go after people who arrived after us, fortunately the burger is good and very plentiful, it makes up for the impatience a little Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
