Restaurant bewertenSoseji is located inside The Mermaid Bar. Their pop-up menu is at the bar so you can order food their along with drinks from The Mermaid. Soseji $11): I thought I was getting a hot dog but I was sorely mistaken. Apparently it's pork belly rice but shaped into a hot dog. The texture was way off for me and I don't really taste the pork belly so this was a hard pass for me. Loaded Soseji Fries $14): The fries were lightly crispy and unevenly salted. There were some pieces that were super salty and other pieces that were fine. The toppings on the fries were good. They did have crumbled soseji which I didn't think went well with the fries. Overall, the food was not compatible with our taste buds nor worth the price. It's different so I would still recommend trying their rice dog once just to see how it is.
Lovely food, very kind man running the booth at the event I went to. Well worth a visit!
Great comfort food made by one of the friendliest people I have met. They are quite filling and a unique take on sausages. Definitely support this local business and follow their IG to get their latest schedule (and locations).
Delicious and fresh. Unreal flavors and so glad i stopped for a taste. Definitely new go to lunch spot for quick eats. UPDATE he's doing pop ups at different breweries and dives! Follow on IG for the schedule cuz this stuff is so good with a cold beer!
I've visited here many times and I always get #1-the original Soseji Rice Dog and it nevertheless stopped me to be impressed and satisfied eating this on warm or cold day. Yes, the price is a bit steep can compared to your typical hot dog but you're helping Steve with his dream opening a brick and mortar spot for his business and it's a local business.
