Rugger's Up Under - Kalamazoo

Celebrated my parent’s 25 year wedding anniversary here!! Perfect place to throw a party! Staff helped me pull off the perfect surprise and provided excellent drinks, snacks, and service. Such a great experience at Up Under! Would recommend for any event, and just a great place to grab a drink.

Great drinks, great prices. Met a pretty lady there once. She turned me down. Now I travel on my yacht in the Bahamas full time. Frequently, I think about this place, I miss it more than the pretty lady. Its my one, and singular land craving. Ruggers up under with a beer in hand.

Really enjoy this place, the atmosphere is exactly how it needs to be for the bar that it is. Not fancy and it isn’t supposed to be, the drinks are good and the pool tables are plentiful. Lots of TVs and sports on somewhere. Food menu is simple and but has what you want at a place that’s a step or so above a dive bar and made well. Try the brats and fries that come with a delicious spiced pickle spear. Gotta just get myself here more often to become a regular!

Getting ready for a Monday reopening...longest we've been closed in 28 years...going to be good to see everyone again..

This is a great place for music. It is set up well for the bands and the listeners. I heard other people there say hidden gem and the sound is great . Given how the band before us sounded I would agree. My only disappointment was the tap list. Two beers and one was Coors Light. They were out of several of their bottle list as well.
