Restaurant bewertenGiovanni’s Aloha Shrimp Truck – Kahuku (Hawaii 2018): Overrated Shrimp Truck. Cinnamon’s Kailua (Hawaii 2018): Guava Chiffon Pancakes. Posted by pennyandrusty. During our Hawaiian vacation in May, we decided to rent a car for a couple of days and head up to the North Shore. On the first day of our road trip, we drove up to Kailua on the windward (eastern) side of Oahu and it was pouring rain so we decided to stop for breakfast at Cinnamon’s before heading to the Valley of the Temples.
The guava chiffon pancakes from Cinnamon's were probably my favorite thing I ate in Hawaii. Unbelievably delicious. They were pretty sweet so I was glad I also ordered the half portion of the Kalua Pork Benedict, which was also really good. They had great coffee too. This place is super popular though, with a small parking lot so finding a space was definitely a hassle and we also had to wait for about 40 minutes to be seated but I would do it a million times over for more of those pancakes.
The food and the atmosphere are great here. The seat takes something. Service was top notch. Eating amazing. Omelette cinnamon rolls and pancakes are good.
Nice place, but the menu needs some work. We all ordered short piles of pancakes that looked on the menu as if they were the same price, but apparently not when we got the bill. I loved the fresh ginger tea and they give you a little teapot with more in it. The red velvet cinnamon apple pancakes were probably the best. My carrot cake pancakes were like dry spice pancakes with dry shredded carrot on top Lol. I do not recommend going on a tin foil plate, but this is just my preference because all sauce toppings remain on the foil.
Very good breakfast food! Had the kalua pork and crab cake eggs benedicts, pistachio and blueberry pancakes. Huge portions so I would recommend sharing or order the half instead of the full portions. Their menus are digital and they have very friendly staff!
