Restaurant bewertenHere’s a quick overview of my experience: the positives included a fantastic view, good cocktails, and friendly staff. On the downside, the food was expensive, and all the dishes we ordered—an appetizer and three entrees—felt like they had been pre-made and simply reheated. Everyone in our group thought their meals were lukewarm and lacking in flavor. I recommend saving your money and giving Kai a pass.
My husband’s company rented out Kai Eats for several days during the Ironman event, allowing me to dine there a few times. Over those days, I encountered varying levels of service—from very friendly and professional to occasionally a bit rude. Overall, I would say the service was good. The food was excellent, featuring a solid American menu along with poke, fresh fish, and Hawaiian-style dishes. The Mai Tai was fantastic (but aren’t they all great in Hawaii?). I particularly recommend the Coconut Shrimp, Lemon Fries, and Poke. The atmosphere is very casual, and the ocean view is wonderful! They also have a decent happy hour.
There's a clear reason why you won't find many locals dining here. The drinks are weak, the portions are small, and the staff seems to mostly consist of people from the mainland.
Donna was a very pleasant server, had a great attitude, and was a lot of fun. The food was great also. Awesome view!
Great pizza wonderful view. All of the staff were wonderful as well offered great recommendations. They have a great selection of seltzers, ciders, beers. While we normally don't return to a restaurant twice on vacation, we found ourselves at Kai's several evenings.
