Restaurant bewertenThe reviews looked really good on here and the place did have a good crowd when we were there. It was also really neat on the inside. The food was just kind of blah….. I was really disappointed. My meatloaf tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave and was cold on the inside. My wife’s roasted chicken was way way way over cooked. There were some things we liked: fried green tomatoes, broccoli cheese rice, mini cornbread mashed potatoes. The sweet tea was really good. It seemed like a favorite for locals so they must be doing something right
Let our hotel and stopped into this hole.in the wall diner. We were pleasantly greeted with a big dude in Georgia Bulldogs short. He explained that we order at the front then sit and they bring the food to you. We ordered , got our drinks and sat down. The whole establishment is just cute with meat items for sale. The staff were all extremely friendly. The food came out and it was delicious. My favorite is the gravy and biscuits. I highly recommend this place!
OMG, the cinnamon beignets!! Had the Southern biscuit breakfast too. Fried green tomato, pimento cheese, and bacon, on a mighty fine biscuit.
After visiting the Legacy Museum, we stopped here for a quick bite. The owner was very friendly. We tried the BLT and the Burger, both of which were tasty. The fries were yummy as well. Being from the North we don 't often eat fried green tomatoes, so I appreciated that our sandwiches included them. I would recommend this restaurant if you want an easy, quick southern lunch.
Surprisingly busy early Sunday morning. Decent menu standard prices. Quickly served. Portions a tad small I felt for America. Food tasty. Thank you Team Cahawba
