Restaurant bewertenI decided to give this restaurant another chance after a bad experience with the food, as my options in the area are limited. However, after my most recent visit, I won't be returning unless they hire a new chef. The new menu makes the place seem cheap and unappealing, offering uninspired and mediocre dishes that lack creativity. I ordered shrimp with sugar snap peas as the vegetable of the day, and chose Pommes as my side. Thankfully, the Pommes was the only thing on the plate that was edible. The peas were overcooked to the point of mushiness, with some ends not properly trimmed and sharp, making them both unpleasant to eat and unappealing to look at.
I celebrated my PhD last night at this lovely restaurant. I'm happy to report that it was a fantastic evening and the restaurant was definitely the highlight of the celebration. The staff were excellent, the food was delicious, and my guests were very pleased. We will definitely be returning for future celebrations. Thank you.
Wow, this place is the best Joliet has to offer. Top-notch service and food is crazy good! I had the Cajun Ribeye and it was tender, juicy and full of taste. My wife had the pasta in the richest and tasty sauces. Everything from our salads, appetizers (Bacon wrapped scallops), dinner, sides and dessert was delicious and obviously fresh. The server, Tommy, was nice, fast and there to please. The live music was great and the server told us that the building is over 100 years old. We loved the old walls and how they decorated it. Also very clean place we find very important. I can't wait to return. M.P.
My husband and I were on the hunt to find a nice restaurant to host the baptism of our son. We called Joliet, and as someone knows from this area, this area is seriously missing from a nice restaurant. Some friends had mentioned the department as an option, so we decided to look at it. When I talked to Greg and presented him with their banquet packages, I was impressed by the value of their packages and thought I was pretty set to our party here... We went tonight and were pleasantly surprised to say the least. From the moment we went, until the time we left, we became excellent service. I ordered a Departini $5 Martini Thursday, can't beat it! and it was so delicious, I had a second. For dinner we had both Chicken Piccata, it is also one of the choices on their banquet menu, so we decided to try only in case. My husband had soup, chicken cream with wild rice. It was hot, fresh and delicious. I had a salad. It was NOT a bag of fresh express salad sauce with shredded cheese. It was a bed of mixed field greens with homemade crumbs, shredded cheese, a fresh tomatoes, cucumber and an ingenious garlic breadstick. Our dinner was hot. It was phenomenal. I had crushed the garlic potatoes, and my hubby had baked twice, both were great. Vegetables of the day was asparagus, which was also perfectly cooked. just a little crisp..not mushy like asparagus in restaurants can sometimes be. For Dessert we ordered the three-layered chocolate cake, our server told us that all desserts are made on site, and made fresh every Monday. The cake was from this crazy world. Crisp Cookie crust with chocolate cake and a few creamy white quality. Everything was so good! Needless to say, we have decided that we will contact them through our event, and I intend to publish a further review afterwards.
Took our staff there for lunch and had several special dietary needs in our group, everyone was satisfied with their food and the choices were plenty. Ever since this restaurant opened several years ago I keep going back, there is a special ambiance that just feels magical any time of the year but especially during Christmas time. They deck out the place to the gills and it makes you all warm inside as you sit in such a beautiful place and it's snowing outside and your are just so warm sitting by one of their fireplaces. Love their Martinis, thank you for opening this restaurant and for having such great staff.
