Mugg Bean - Johannesburg

Went by Mugg Bean at Mall Reds for some coffee and cake for a birthday. Service was a bit slow. But variety of cakes is wonderful and the cakes themselves are so delicious! Not shy with the size of the slices. Wrap was very tasty, well seasoned and very filling. Mugg and Bean never disappoints. Great place for a quick coffee or lunch and even some cake!

This is one of My favourite coffee places in rooihuiskraal. We frequent this place quiet often to enjoy the variety of coffee this place has to offer. They continously changing the menu to keep it fresh and updated. My wife and I are always trying the new offerings on the menu. Enjoy this place alot.

The best thing to have in this joint on a Sunday is perhaps a big scone with cheese and jam.. the gourmet pancakes filled with caramel and banana with butterscotch was a mind blowing option which I think I'm going to order again. The carrot cake and cheesecake I tried from my friends with me weren't too bad and the carrot cake actually reminded me of my grandmothers.. so yeah.. it had to have been good. For this reason I'm giving this place a 4!

This is one of my favorite places to sit outside and enjoy a coffee, the staff are friendly and welcoming, have had burnt coffee once, my favorite has to be the cappuccinos with cream. The cakes are not are not great, it's limited and filled with sugar, sickly sweet.

Today I met my grandparents for a coffee date at Mugg 'n Bean in Reds Mall.<br/ <br/ There is seating outside where you have a fountain view and also inside with lovely coffee aromas.<br/ <br/ A table close to the entrance in the mall were chosen. It might get a little load in this space with music above your head, the chatter of other restaurant goers and people wanting to fit in some last minute shopping before they retire for the day. All the sounds mixed together may be overwhelming but if you engage yourself in the company of your loved ones, these sounds will fade.<br/ We sat on comfy seats with space around us to move our legs freely and just relax on the Friday afternoon. <br/ <br/ We had bottomless coffee, the house blend and it was fresh and tasted great. In my opinion, no auger needs to be added to the coffee as the coffee itself is delicious just the way it is. Initially we did not want to eat but the vibe of the coffee shop/restaurant was so relaxing and friendly that we wanted to stay a bit longer so we ordered Toasted Chicken Mayo Sandwiches. It is a simple and plain choose but it is not presented in such a way. The toast had the perfect crunch, the filling had just the right amount of chicken and Mayo and it was presented neatly with minimal garnish, the type you would actually want to eat. It looked like a gourmet presentation instead of plain and simple as some might expect with a plain dish.<br/ <br/ All the waiters are neatly dress and d in their black and green uniforms forming a beautiful unity and image for the coffee shop/ restaurant. Ferguson was a great waiter with big smiles. My grandpa had to get up somewhere to get his attention but after that Ferguson made sure to visit our table often enough to make sure everything was still in order.<br/ <br/ I am a big fan of Mugg 'n Bean and will be visiting other outlets soon.
