Restaurant bewertenWhole Foods Market such a contradiction. When you walk in the store you feel a certain goodness because everything is healthy, environmentally conscious, and natural. That is also owned by Amazon one of the biggest corporation in the world that's built on consumption, so when I'm there I'm always confused... moving right along... as you all know, the store is fun with all kinds of goodies and unusual items. I love walking around and looking their selection of beer, the fruits and vegetables, all the fancy chips, their preferred food, and their treats. They have their own covered parking and easy street parking. You pay a premium for all that goodness, but I'm willing to pay a fair price of what natural organic food should cost and not cheap food that's full of all kind of ingredients that might do more harm than good to one's body. Okay, I think I'm snooty enough for one review.
I would happily give Whole Foods four stars if it weren 't for the requirement that you need to be a member of Amazon Prime to take advantage of the store 's weekly sales items. Whole Foods drops the overt connection with Amazon and simply calls their specials Prime Member Weekly Deals. Some of them are pretty great, attractive enough to lure customers into the store. Prime members also get 10% off on yellow-tagged items (this excludes alcohol). This connection with another corporation makes Whole Foods significantly different from, in my mind, its main competition, New Seasons, whose sale items are available to everyone. I 'm nearly always satisfied with Whole Foods ' produce (particularly their organic produce) dairy, meats, and other products. All in all, Whole Foods is a fine store. Several items pricey, yes. Still, the Hollywood branch is clean, reasonably well stocked, and offers good customer service. Again, clearly four stars if it weren 't for the added requirement of belonging to Amazon Prime.
I often have buyers remorse after I've purchased some of the items from the hot and cold bars here. Something is always off. Too much pepper or too much salt or too bland. There is no one sure thing which is consistently good there. Once the fried cauliflower had just the right amount of hot sauce on it...the next time it was entirely inedible. The turkey wildrice soup was good one time and the next it was a congealed over-salted mess. If Trader Joe's had a hot and cold food bar, I would probably prefer to eat there because they are always happy to see me there...and some of them know me by first name if not by face. I think the entire grocery store industry could learn a lesson in politeness, friendliness and great customer service from Trader Joe's...the Hollywood locale is my go to grocery store. If I have buyer's remorse there.,..there is a no hassle return policy...and no sorrow puss looks nor the feeling I am putting someone out by asking to make a return because I didn't like it. Whole Foods is far too expensive to not have better customer service.
Sometimes, when my Darling Husband and myself are in the Neighborhood of this Whole Foods Market, we shop here. The Organic Produce Section here is Good. I stopped and asked where the Customer Restrooms were located. The Women's Restroom was Clean and Tidy. I was shopping for a Snack on this Afternoon, and I found a few things that were Tasty. I noticed that there was a Uniform Policeperson talking to one of the Workers at a Desk... so, I asked the Cashier where I was, if this Location has Much Theft. I was told that a few Hours ago... someone was Stealing A LOT. I also noticed that there was a Person Spanging that's Spare and Change combined out on the Corner on the Sidewalk. I walked around the Whole Store, in order to find what I was looking for... but, I think most of the Employees were on Breaks. I was the ONLY Black Person Customer in the Store on this Afternoon. I saw Milk in Glass Containers... there is a Two Dollar Charge for the Returnable Bottle. I wonder how long until this Whole Foods Market changes where their items are Located?
I love this location but I wish Whole Foods in the pacific northwest would carry Straus' dairy. They make the best chocolate milk, sour cream, half and half, and greek and European yogurt. Their strawberry and vanilla ice cream are to die for. Their regular is not the best, but still better than every Nor-Cal whole foods and PNW whole foods milk carriers. They are very eco friendly and kind to their cows!
