The Widmer Brothers Pub

I always forget about how much I like this place. Probably because of it's location. It is difficult to find and not near anything else that you'd most likely be visiting. The pub has a nice selection of food for you to enjoy while sipping on one of Widmer's limited release brews. I like to start with a fondue pretzel (mainly because I am a sucker for fondue). I also enjoy the chicken schnitzel. They serve a nice collection of standard pub faire and german food as well. Plus this the only place you can get Widmer's reserve brews.

Took the tour, worth it. Ate the food, more than worth it. Drank the beer, the crowning experience. Try the spinach salad, it's great, as I thought all the food was. I was in Portland for 7 days and I ate here 3 times. Worth the trip, steps from the train stop.

This is a cool pub to visit. There is a lot of good food to order and the service is very friendly. The location has a little but of a view that overlooks the rail-yard and the Willamette river (even though you can really only see the tall ships in the water, not the water itself).

Great pub to try out some of Widmer's irregular brewer beers. Get seating in the bar for an authentic feel and try one of their delicious burgers!

Went in on a Sunday and had amazing food, beer and great service. Their German food goes great with their beer selection and our server was fantastic. I grabbed a growler at the retail store and came back to the restaurant to get it filled with their Nelson imperial IPA and the bartender was very nice and asked how my food was. Highly recommend.
