Driftwood Bistro - JEKYLL ISLAND

Wow! What a wonderful experience! Even if we had to wait an hour and 20 minutes to take a seat, we met some nice people who recommended the rum for a drink. I got one and enjoyed it, which went about waiting a little faster. After we set ourselves, our orders were immediately accepted. I enjoyed the stuffed greens and absolutely loved the Squash-Casserole! Definitely you get the Squash-Casserole when you are there, you will not regret it. The fried green tomatoes were not bad either. My friend got the stuffed flounder with Mac n cheese and Okra and also enjoyed their food. Then the beautiful people we met earlier ended up picking up our tab (if you finally read so much again! We really appreciated it! and Guiedo the host was super friendly and gave us a breakfast recommendation for our stay here. We only had such a wonderful experience here with real southern hospitality! We'll be back when we're back in the area!

Great Shrimp and Grits, squash casserole and fried green tomatoes!

Oh My!!!! The service was one of the best we have ever had!! The ladies at the host stand where so sweet and kind!!! Our sweet waitress was just like an angel!!!! I wish I would have remembered her name: Now let’s talk about the food!!!! Ladies Gentlemen!!!! You will not find any better cooking unless your at your grandparents house on Sunday!!! I’m telling you it deserves more than 5 stars!!!!

We arrived at 5:15. There was a 10 minute wait on Thursday night. We started with the Okra appetizer served with ranch. Whole okra was deep fried in a tasty batter. I had the stuffed collard greens with sweet potato soufflé and squash casserole. Hubs had the Wild Georgia shrimp grilled with French fries and sweet Cole slaw. We sat near the bar as the dining room was full. Service was excellent and so was the food. This restaurant has many vegetables to choose from. I could eat several meals here and be happy.

Everything we ate was delicious. I highly recommend the squash casserole.
