Bono's Pit -b-q - Jacksonville

Disappointing is an understatement. Not sure what’s happened at Bono’s over the last couple of weeks, but boy has the standard dropped. Last week, old cold fries and mac&cheese instead of Coleslaw. This week same old cold fries and no mayo in the Coleslaw (dryer than the Sahara desert). Used to be a weekly customer, but now looking for a new BBQ haunt.

I visited this Bono's BBQ a month or so ago and I like the food. unfortunately I went there around 3 in the afternoon and they were vacuuming so the atmosphere wasn't ideal. I like Bono's barbecue and I'll be back, just probably not in the mid-afternoon.

Sweet smoke smell hits you the minute you walk in the door, and you know you made the right choice. Our server was so sweet and helpful, and the food was delicious! Loved the pulled pork and fried corn. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Casual, family friendly atmosphere.

Just okay. Had large st Louis rib platter with fries and Cole slaw. Cole slaw tasted old. Ribs were run of the mill. Brisket sandwich good.

I’m sorry to say this but the brisket was horrible. It’s fatty and you can’t even chew it no season on it was cut against the gain which made it extra hard to chew. I’m so disappointed. The beans taste like can beans not like they usually taste everything was not good but the fries but you can’t me up fries and so that’s why the 1
