Restaurant bewertenTonight for the AYCE crabs and fastenings and it was really great! For $40, I had all seafood and soda I could treat. They had crabs, crabs, fresh crabs, mussels, corn, sausage, potatoes, boiled peanuts, eggs and much more... and everything was perfectly seasoned. I was really surprised. Everyone was so nice and it wasn't too crowded. They let you get up as often as you don't want a side eye. I appreciate that they served you so that there was no risk for other evil hands that touched things? Just enjoyed sitting there, listening to music and eating with a friend. Will definitely be back.
So, Annie Rus... I never knew this place was here. In fact, they are one of the most affordable soul food kitchens in Jacksonville. On the northwest side of Jacksonville they offer full meals as low as $5 a plate! Where else you can get so much and the quality is also ingenious... the down spots when they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays... all you can think of from smashed turkey to oxtail. Green, yams and Mac and cheese naturally... guaranteed to fill you from 11 am to 5 pm Wednesday thru Sunday can You don't lose with Annie Ru's....
I ordered the oxtail and rice. It was seasoned and cooked directly. Customer service was good and the waiting period was appropriate.
The food was delicious feeling at home with the staff very friendly. The only reason it didn't get five stars is because I've been here for over 3 decades and I'm just listening to Google's search. Seriously, my friends could have told me about this authentic soul food.
I had such a pleasant experience today! The young man who initially took the orders was so full of energy and exemplified extraordinary customer service! He sang while we went through the line too. Additionally, the food was GREAT! We ordered the chitterlings, oxtail, meat loaf, fried chicken and baked chicken (big family) and everything was delicious! This was my first time there and I'll definitely be going again!
