I have not been to this establishment for a few years. This was due to a disappointing last visit but hey I had heard that La Cognette was top notch again.A warm and friendly welcome awaited us in this quirky but comfortable and interesting dining room.We were in for a treat! However the little amuses bouches we were served while choosing from the menu were just uninteresting, after ordering another round of amuse bouches which were nicely presented but just bland and pretty flavorless. Starters a carp dish was just lacking in seasoning and again bland. The main course was in my mind not very good, chicken with a very undercooked piece of liver and a citrus, honey and cranberry sauce. Not fantastic .It’s only my opinion because obviously they have a faithful clientele but the food just lacks in finesse and quality.
